Movie Photos is a websites created by fans, for fans. movie photos was started with one simply goal: To create the very best movie photo gallery collection on the Internet.
To do so we realized we'd need an automated way to index and organize images from the Internet at large. In order to accomplish such a lofty goal it turn's out you'll need some powerful tools (trust us, we learned the hard way). Thanks to the power of the open source movement everything that was needed was more then at hand.
Movie Photos is a LAMP or Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP based website. On top of the PHP base we've sprinked Odin Assemble framework, a few PHP classes, a number of mashed-up Search APIs and last but not least a wonderful free template from OSWD.
After a bit of mixing it all together, Movie Photos was born.
