This debut from director Joachim Trier won raves in its festival run for its deft combination of comedy and drama, as well as its disregard for a linear narrative. REPRISE centers on two friends, Phillip and Erik, as they attempt to sell their novels and the effects of that effort. Though it features a cast of unknowns, this Norwegian film boasts an emotional intensity that few are likely to forget.
